Lisa Chaufty
University of Utah, Salt Lake City Director
Salt Lake City, Utah
Lisa runs a small (but mighty) music library in the school of music on the University of Utah campus. With only one full-time employee and a team of student assistants, she dons many hats. Lisa also teaches graduate music bibliography and directs the early music ensemble. Recent research interests have included Maurice Abravanel (conductor of the Utah Symphony from 1947-1979); the artistic relationship between the composer Natalia Kurakina and the painter Elisabeth Vigée Le Brun; and, library initiatives that promote dei, student wellness, and success.
