Memory Apata is the Music and Performing Arts Librarian at Dartmouth College. She has a B.A. in Voice and German from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a Masters in Library and Information Science from Simmons University. Memory serves as the Newsletter Editor for MLA’s New England Chapter. She is a 2018 recipient of the Kevin Freeman Award and the Bibliothek & Information Deutschland Grant. Her book chapter on the Sing-Ins (which will be presented in the Best of Chapters session at MLA 2020) appears in Scholarship in the Sandbox, published by ACRL (2019). Memory performs in musical theater, opera, and with her jazz group in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire. You will be able to easily spot her at the MLA closing reception as she will almost certainly have a hula hoop in tow.
