I am the Interim Head of Access Services at Melvin J. Zahnow Library at Saginaw Valley State University (MI), with liaison duties to the music, education, and ESL programs. I hold degrees in music performance (horn) and music history with a focus on film, television, and radio music from 1930-1960. My thesis discussed the pre-existing American traditional music used in Max Steiner's score to the 1939 film "Gone with the Wind." I received my MLIS from Wayne State University in 2012 and was a children's librarian before moving to SVSU. My research areas continue to include film, television, and radio music from 1930-1960, but have grown to include critical pedagogy, and wellness in the workplace.
